When should you capitalize after a colon?

Don't capitalize if the part after a colon is a word, phrase, or simple list:

Word: Our new computers will have one advantage: speed.

Phrase: Our new computers will have two advantages: speed and cost.

List: Our new computers will have several advantages: speed, cost, and size.

And there's no standard for capitalizing when there's a full sentence following the colon. Either of these is correct:

Correct: Our new computers will be popular: they're much faster than our old ones.

Correct: Our new computers will be popular: They're much faster than our old ones.

It's a little more common to capitalize, though.
